It’s with a breath of sadness that I type this, but after the Winter issue, FDLR will be taking a hiatus. I’m not sure how long it will be, or if it will even come back, but the possibility is not off the table. There is too much going on in my life right now to run this outfit by myself and I have other more important things I need to focus on for the time being. Publishing this review has been fun, but family and bills come first.
For anyone with a subscription wondering what happens now, you have the choice of either keeping your subscription active for the future, or going with the closeout option in our T&C (that gives a flat rate $10 refund along with a final copy, being this Winter issue). Send me an email with what you’d like to do and we’ll process it from there.
This Winter issue is going to be fiction-only, as we received around 10 times more fiction submissions than poetry. We expect this issue to have around 40 contributors or more, so expect this one to be bigger than the others. Once this issue is completed and released, I will hopefully have the electronic anthology for the year out by Christmas, of which all contributors will get a free copy.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us from the beginning. Hopefully we’ll be able to come back soon bigger and better. Until then, keep on writing and showing your art to the world.
